सुकन्यायाः पितुश चास्य लॊके कीर्तिः परथेद इति अतॊ मयैतद विहितं तव वीर्यप्रकाशनम तस्मात परसादं कुरु मे भवत्व एतद यथेच्छसि ॥ ३-१२५-६ ॥
'My intent was also to ensure that the fame of Sukanya's father would spread far and wide. Therefore, I implore your mercy—let it be as you desire.' ॥ 3-125-6 ॥
english translation
एवम उक्तस्य शक्रेण चयवनस्य महात्मनः स मन्युर वयगमच छीघ्रं मुमॊच च पुरंदरम ॥ ३-१२५-७ ॥
'Hearing these words from Indra, Chyavana, the mighty-souled sage, swiftly calmed his wrath and released the vanquisher of enemy strongholds.' ॥ 3-125-7 ॥
english translation
मदं च वयभजद राजन पाने सत्रीषु च वीर्यवान अक्षेषु मृगयायां च पूर्वसृष्टं पुनः पुनः ॥ ३-१२५-८ ॥
'And the powerful saint, O king, apportioned Mada—intoxication—dispersing it into drinks, indulgence with women, gambling, and hunting, restoring its earlier forms as they had existed before.' ॥ 3-125-8 ॥

तथा मदं विनिष्क्षिप्य शक्रं संतर्प्य चेन्दुना अश्विभ्यां सहितान देवान याजयित्वा च तं नृपम ॥ ३-१२५-९ ॥
'Having subdued the mighty demon Mada, appeased Indra with a Soma offering, assisted King Saryati in worshipping all the gods, including the Aswins.' ॥ 3-125-9 ॥

विख्याप्य वीर्यं सर्वेषु लॊकेषु वदतां वरः सुकन्यया सहारण्ये विजहारानुरक्तया ॥ ३-१२५-१० ॥
'Having made his prowess renowned across all the worlds, the foremost of eloquent sages, Chyavana, delighted in the forest, living joyfully with Sukanya, who was devoted to him.' ॥ 3-125-10 ॥
