शंतनुश चात्र कौन्तेय शुनकश च नराधिप नरनारायणौ चॊभौ सथानं पराप्ताः सनातनम ॥ ३-१२५-१६ ॥

'O king, Santanu, Sunaka the sovereign of men, and both Nara and Narayana have all reached their eternal abodes from this sacred place.' ॥ 3-125-16 ॥

इह नित्यशया देवाः पितरश च महर्षिभिः आर्चीक पर्वते तेपुस तान यजस्व युधिष्ठिर ॥ ३-१२५-१७ ॥

'Here, O Yudhishthira, the gods, the forefathers, and the mighty sages constantly rest. On this Archika hill, they all performed their austerities. Perform sacrifices to them, O king!' ॥ 3-125-17 ॥

'Here, O protector of men, the saints partook of rice cooked in milk. And here flows the Yamuna, with its inexhaustible stream.' ॥ 3-125-18 ॥

यमौ च भीमसेनश च कृष्णा चामित्रकर्शन सर्वे चात्र गमिष्यामः सुकृशाः सुतपॊ विनः ॥ ३-१२५-१९ ॥

'Yamuna, Bhimasena, Krishna, the enemy of the foes, and all of us, O Yudhishthira, shall go there, freed from our sins, having purified ourselves through penance.' ॥ 3-125-19 ॥

एतत परस्रवणं पुण्यम इन्द्रस्य मनुजाधिप यत्र धाता विधाता च वरुणश चॊर्ध्वम आगताः ॥ ३-१२५-२० ॥

'O king, this is the holy spring of Indra. Here, the Creator and the Sustainer, as well as Varuna, ascended, and here they dwelt, O lord of men! They observed forbearance and were endowed with the highest faith.' ॥ 3-125-20 ॥

etata parasravaNaM puNyama indrasya manujAdhipa yatra dhAtA vidhAtA ca varuNaza còrdhvama AgatAH ॥ 3-125-20 ॥
