शंतनुश चात्र कौन्तेय शुनकश च नराधिप नरनारायणौ चॊभौ सथानं पराप्ताः सनातनम ।। ३-१२५-१६ ।।

sanskrit

'O king, Santanu, Sunaka the sovereign of men, and both Nara and Narayana have all reached their eternal abodes from this sacred place.' ।। 3-125-16 ।।

zaMtanuza cAtra kaunteya zunakaza ca narAdhipa naranArAyaNau còbhau sathAnaM parAptAH sanAtanama || 3-125-16 ||

'Here, O Yudhishthira, the gods, the forefathers, and the mighty sages constantly rest. On this Archika hill, they all performed their austerities. Perform sacrifices to them, O king!' ।। 3-125-17 ।।

'O king, this is the holy spring of Indra. Here, the Creator and the Sustainer, as well as Varuna, ascended, and here they dwelt, O lord of men! They observed forbearance and were endowed with the highest faith.' ।। 3-125-20 ।।

etata parasravaNaM puNyama indrasya manujAdhipa yatra dhAtA vidhAtA ca varuNaza còrdhvama AgatAH || 3-125-20 ||
