इह ते नयवसन राजन कषान्ताः परमधर्मिणः मैत्राणाम ऋजु बुद्धीनाम अयं गिरिवरः शुभः ॥ ३-१२५-२१ ॥

'O King, this beautiful mountain is home to those who follow the highest dharma (righteousness), who are at peace, who have straight/honest wisdom, and who are friendly/compassionate.' ॥ 3-125-21 ॥

english translation

iha te nayavasana rAjana kaSAntAH paramadharmiNaH maitrANAma Rju buddhInAma ayaM girivaraH zubhaH ॥ 3-125-21 ॥

एषा सा यमुना राजन राजर्षिगणसेविता नाना यज्ञचिता राजन पुण्या पापभयापहा ॥ ३-१२५-२२ ॥

'Here flows the celebrated Yamuna, frequented by numerous powerful saints, the site of various sacred rites, holy and capable of destroying the fear of sin.' ॥ 3-125-22 ॥

english translation

eSA sA yamunA rAjana rAjarSigaNasevitA nAnA yajJacitA rAjana puNyA pApabhayApahA ॥ 3-125-22 ॥

अत्र राजा महेष्वासॊ मान्धातायजत सवयम सहदेवश च कौन्तेय सॊमकॊ ददतां वरः ॥ ३-१२५-२३ ॥

'Here did Mandhata, the mighty archer, perform sacrificial rites for the gods. And here, O son of Kunti, did Somaka, the son of Sahadeva and a most generous giver, also offer his sacrifices.' ॥ 3-125-23 ॥

atra rAjA maheSvAsò mAndhAtAyajata savayama sahadevaza ca kaunteya sòmakò dadatAM varaH ॥ 3-125-23 ॥
