तथा स संवृतॊ धीमान मृत पिण्ड इव सर्वशः तप्यति सम तपॊ राजन वल्मीकेन समावृतः ॥ ३-१२२-४ ॥

'Over a long period, swarms of ants gradually covered him until he looked just like a mound of earth. Enveloped on all sides by the anthill, the sage continued his intense austerities, undisturbed and resolute.' ॥ 3-122-4 ॥

english translation

tathA sa saMvRtò dhImAna mRta piNDa iva sarvazaH tapyati sama tapò rAjana valmIkena samAvRtaH ॥ 3-122-4 ॥
