चुकॊप भार्गवश चापि महेन्द्रस्य महातपाः संस्तम्भयाम आस च तं वासवं चयवनः परभुः सुकङ्क्यां चापि भार्यां स राजपुत्रीम इवाप्तवान ॥ ३-१२१-२१ ॥

'It was here that Bhrigu's son, renowned for his severe penance, grew angry with the great Indra. Consequently, the powerful Chyavana immobilized Indra and, as a result, won the hand of the princess, Sukanya.' ॥ 3-121-21 ॥

cukòpa bhArgavaza cApi mahendrasya mahAtapAH saMstambhayAma Asa ca taM vAsavaM cayavanaH parabhuH sukaGkyAM cApi bhAryAM sa rAjaputrIma ivAptavAna ॥ 3-121-21 ॥
