'Vaisampayana continued, 'Upon hearing the account of the death of Kirmira, the chief of the Rakshasas, in battle, the king sighed deeply and fell into a state of profound contemplation.'' ॥ 3-12-75 ॥

evaM vinihataM saMkhye kirmIraM rAkSasòttamama zarutvA dhayAnaparò rAjA nizazvAsArtavata tadA ॥ 3-12-75 ॥
