भीम बाहुबलॊत्पिष्टे विनष्टे राक्षसे ततः विविशुस तद वनं वीराः कषेमं निहतकण्टकम ॥ ३-१२-७२ ॥

स मया गच्छता मार्गे विनिकीर्णॊ भयावहः वने महति दुष्टात्मा दृष्टॊ भीमबलाद धतः ॥ ३-१२-७३ ॥
'With the Rakshasa defeated by Bhima’s strength, the heroes lived peacefully in the forest, free from disturbances. As I traveled through the forest, I saw the body of the wicked Rakshasa, slain by Bhima’s might.' ॥ 3-12-73 ॥

तत्राश्रौषम अहं चैतत कर्म भीमस्य भारत बराह्मणानां कथयतां ये तत्रासन समागताः ॥ ३-१२-७४ ॥
'There, I heard of Bhima's deed, O Bharata, as recounted by the Brahmanas who had assembled there.' ॥ 3-12-74 ॥

एवं विनिहतं संख्ये किर्मीरं राक्षसॊत्तमम शरुत्वा धयानपरॊ राजा निशश्वासार्तवत तदा ॥ ३-१२-७५ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, 'Upon hearing the account of the death of Kirmira, the chief of the Rakshasas, in battle, the king sighed deeply and fell into a state of profound contemplation.'' ॥ 3-12-75 ॥
