न कृष्ण धर्मश चरितॊ भवाय; जन्तॊर अधर्मश च पराभवाय युधिष्ठिरॊ यत्र जटी महात्मा; वनाश्रयः कलिश्यति चीरवासः ॥ ३-११९-५ ॥

sanskrit

'O Krishna, I cannot perceive that the practice of virtue brings any benefit, nor do I see that unrighteousness leads to harm. After all, look at Yudhishthira, the magnanimous one, in this pitiable state—his matted hair, living in the forest, clad in the bark of trees.' ॥ 3-119-5 ॥

english translation

na kRSNa dharmaza caritò bhavAya; jantòra adharmaza ca parAbhavAya yudhiSThirò yatra jaTI mahAtmA; vanAzrayaH kalizyati cIravAsaH ॥ 3-119-5 ॥
