तस्मै परादात सहस्रं वै वाजिनां वरुणस तदा तद अश्वतीर्थं विख्यातम उत्थिता यत्र ते हयाः ॥ ३-११५-१६ ॥
'Then Varuna gave to him A thousand horses indeed, That place became known as Ashvatirtha Where those horses emerged.' ॥ 3-115-16 ॥

गङ्गायां कन्यकुब्जे वै ददौ सत्यवतीं तदा ततॊ गाधिः सुतां तस्मै जन्याश चासन सुरास तदा लब्ध्वा हयसहस्रं तु तांश च दृष्ट्वा दिवौकसः ॥ ३-११५-१७ ॥
'In the city of Kanyakubja, the daughter of Gadhi, named Satyavati, was given in marriage, and even the gods attended as guests at the wedding. Richika, the most esteemed among the priestly caste, procured a thousand magnificent steeds and beheld the celestial beings.' ॥ 3-115-17 ॥

धर्मेण लब्ध्वा तां भार्याम ऋचीकॊ दविजसत्तमः यथाकामं यथाजॊषं तया रेमे सुमध्यया ॥ ३-११५-१८ ॥
'By marrying in accordance with tradition, he fulfilled all his wishes and desires while enjoying the company of the slender-waisted maiden.' ॥ 3-115-18 ॥

तं विवाहे कृते राजन सभार्यम अवलॊककः आजगाम भृगुश्रेष्ठः पुत्रं दृष्ट्वा ननन्द च ॥ ३-११५-१९ ॥
'And when the marriage was celebrated, O king, his father Bhrigu came to visit him and his wife, filled with joy at the sight of his commendable son.' ॥ 3-115-19 ॥

भार्या पती तम आसीनं गुरुं सुरगणार्चितम अर्चित्वा पर्युपासीनौ पराञ्जलीतस्थतुस तदा ॥ ३-११५-२० ॥
'The husband and wife, united in their reverence, offered their deepest respects to him who was honored by all the gods. Once he had taken his seat, they stood beside him with joined palms, ready to follow his instructions.' ॥ 3-115-20 ॥
