तवयि कषमा च धर्मश च सत्यं चापि परतिष्ठितम तवया कृतार्थः सगरः पुत्र वांश च तवया पिता ॥ ३-१०६-२६ ॥
'May good fortune be yours! In you are embodied the virtues of forbearance, truth, and righteousness. Through you, Sagara's desires have been fulfilled. You are truly a son to your father.' ॥ 3-106-26 ॥
english translation
tavayi kaSamA ca dharmaza ca satyaM cApi paratiSThitama tavayA kRtArthaH sagaraH putra vAMza ca tavayA pitA ॥ 3-106-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतव चैव परभावेण सवर्गं यास्यन्ति सागराः पौत्रश च ते तरिपथ गां तरिदिवाद आनयिष्यति पावनार्थं सागराणां तॊषयित्वा महेश्वरम ॥ ३-१०६-२७ ॥
'Through your merit, the sons of Sagara will attain heaven, freed from the consequences of their untimely deaths. Your grandson, with the intent of purifying them, will earn the grace of the great god Shiva through rigorous austerities and will bring forth the river that flows in three separate streams, Ganga, O chief of men!' ॥ 3-106-27 ॥

tava caiva parabhAveNa savargaM yAsyanti sAgarAH pautraza ca te taripatha gAM taridivAda AnayiSyati pAvanArthaM sAgarANAM tòSayitvA mahezvarama ॥ 3-106-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहयं नयस्व भद्रं ते यज्ञियं नरपुंगव यज्ञः समाप्यतां तात सगरस्य महात्मनः ॥ ३-१०६-२८ ॥
'May good fortune be yours! Take the sacrificial horse with you. Complete, my dear, the sacrificial rites of the magnanimous Sagara!' ॥ 3-106-28 ॥

hayaM nayasva bhadraM te yajJiyaM narapuMgava yajJaH samApyatAM tAta sagarasya mahAtmanaH ॥ 3-106-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअंशुमान एवम उक्तस तु कपिलेन महात्मना आजगाम हयं गृह्य यज्ञवाटं महात्मनः ॥ ३-१०६-२९ ॥
'Thus addressed by the illustrious Kapila, Aṁśumant took the horse and returned to the sacrificial yard of the mighty-minded Sagara.' ॥ 3-106-29 ॥

aMzumAna evama uktasa tu kapilena mahAtmanA AjagAma hayaM gRhya yajJavATaM mahAtmanaH ॥ 3-106-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसॊ ऽभिवाद्य ततः पादौ सगरस्य महात्मनः मूर्ध्नि तेनाप्य उपाघ्रातस तस्मै सर्वं नयवेदयत ॥ ३-१०६-३० ॥
'Then he fell prostrate at the feet of the high-souled Sagara, who blessed him by smelling his head. Aṁśumant recounted all that he had seen and heard, including the destruction of Sagara's sons.' ॥ 3-106-30 ॥

sò 'bhivAdya tataH pAdau sagarasya mahAtmanaH mUrdhni tenApya upAghrAtasa tasmai sarvaM nayavedayata ॥ 3-106-30 ॥
