स तु तेनैव मार्गेण समुद्रं परविवेश ह अपश्यच च महात्मानं कपिलं तुरगं च तम ॥ ३-१०६-२१ ॥
'Entering the sea through that very passage, he beheld the illustrious Kapila and the same horse.' ॥ 3-106-21 ॥
english translation
स दृष्ट्वा तेजसॊ राशिं पुराणम ऋषिसत्तमम परणम्य शिरसा भूमौ कार्यम अस्मै नयवेदयत ॥ ३-१०६-२२ ॥
'Observing the ancient sage, the most righteous of his kind, radiating like a mass of light, Aṁśumant bowed low and explained the reason for his visit.' ॥ 3-106-22 ॥
english translation
ततः परीतॊ महातेजाः कलिपॊ ऽंशुमतॊ ऽभवत उवाच चैनं धर्मात्मा वरदॊ ऽसमीति भारत ॥ ३-१०६-२३ ॥
'Then, O great king, Kapila was pleased with Aṁśumant and, being a sage of virtuous soul, invited him to request a favor.' ॥ 3-106-23 ॥
english translation
स वव्रे तुरगं तत्र परथमं यज्ञकारणात दवितीयम उदकं वव्रे पितॄणां पावनेप्सया ॥ ३-१०६-२४ ॥
'First, Aṁśumant asked for the horse, to be used in the sacrifice; next, he sought the purification of his ancestors.' ॥ 3-106-24 ॥
english translation
तम उवाच महातेजाः कपिलॊ मुनिपुंगवः ददानि तव भद्रं ते यद यत परार्थयसे ऽनघ ॥ ३-१०६-२५ ॥
'The mighty sage Kapila then spoke to him, saying, 'I shall grant you all that you desire, O noble prince.'' ॥ 3-106-25 ॥
