[लॊमष] ते तं दृष्ट्वा हयं राजन संप्रहृष्टतनू रुहाः अनादृत्य महात्मानं कपिलं कालचॊदिताः संक्रुद्धाः समधावन्त अश्वग्रहण काङ्क्षिणः ॥ ३-१०६-१ ॥
'Lomasha said: O King, seeing that horse, their hair standing on end with excitement, driven by fate, they disregarded the great soul Kapila and, filled with anger, rushed towards him, desiring to seize the horse.' ॥ 3-106-1 ॥
english translation
ततः करुद्धॊ महाराज कपिलॊ मुनिसत्तमः वासुदेवेति यं पराहुः कपिलं मुनिसत्तमम ॥ ३-१०६-२ ॥
'O great king, then Kapila, the foremost among sages, became angry - he whom they call Vasudeva, that excellent among munis (sages).' ॥ 3-106-2 ॥
english translation
स चक्षुर विवृतं कृत्वा तेजस तेषु समुत्सृजन ददाह सुमहातेजा मन्दबुद्धीन स सागरान ॥ ३-१०६-३ ॥
'Opening his eyes, he released his energy upon them, and that mighty-powered one burned up all those foolish sons of Sagara.' ॥ 3-106-3 ॥

तान दृष्ट्वा भस्मसाद भूतान नारदः सुमहातपाः सगरान्तिकम आगच्छत तच च तस्मै नयवेदयत ॥ ३-१०६-४ ॥
'Narada, renowned for his intense austerities, upon seeing them reduced to ashes, approached Sagara and conveyed the entire incident to him.' ॥ 3-106-4 ॥

स तच छरुत्वा वचॊ घॊरं राजा मुनिमुखॊद्गतम आत्मानम आत्मनाश्वस्य हयम एवान्वचिन्तयत ॥ ३-१०६-५ ॥
'Having heard those terrible words from the mouth of the sage, the king, consoling himself by himself, then thought only about the horse.' ॥ 3-106-5 ॥
