असुरॊरग रक्षांसि सत्त्वानि विविधानि च आर्तनादम अकुर्वन्त वध्यमानानि सागरैः ॥ ३-१०५-२१ ॥
'Asuras, serpents, rakshasas, and various other creatures Made cries of distress as they were being struck/killed by the Sagaras.' ॥ 3-105-21 ॥

छिन्नशीर्षा विदेहाश च भिन्नजान्व अस्थि मस्तकाः पराणिनः समदृश्यन्त शतशॊ ऽथ सहस्रशः ॥ ३-१०५-२२ ॥
'Beings with severed heads, without bodies, with broken knees, bones and skulls, Were seen by the hundreds and thousands.' ॥ 3-105-22 ॥

एवं हि खनतां तेषां समुद्रं मकरालयम वयतीतः सुमहान कालॊ न चाश्वः समदृश्यत ॥ ३-१०५-२३ ॥
'Thus, they continued their efforts, delving into the ocean—the vast abode of Varuna. An exceedingly long time passed in this relentless pursuit, yet the horse remained unfound.' ॥ 3-105-23 ॥

ततः पूर्वॊत्तरे देशे समुद्रस्य महीपते विदार्य पातालम अथ संक्रुद्धाः सगरात्मजाः अपश्यन्त हयं तत्र विचरन्तं महीतले ॥ ३-१०५-२४ ॥
'Then, O lord of the earth, the enraged sons of Sagara dug down toward the northeastern region of the sea, reaching into the depths of the netherworld. There, at last, they beheld the horse wandering upon the ground’s surface.' ॥ 3-105-24 ॥

कपिलं च महात्मानं तेजॊराशिम अनुत्तमम तपसा दीप्यमानं तं जवालाभिर इव पावकम ॥ ३-१०५-२५ ॥
'They also beheld the great-souled Kapila, a supreme radiance, glowing with the brilliance of his ascetic power, like fire ablaze with flames.' ॥ 3-105-25 ॥
