- desirous of posting the demons to the battle-field, then spoke as follows, in their midst - 'I have done penance for thousands of years several times . - ॥ 6-93-28॥

- and gratified Brahma the lord of creation at the conclusion of those austerities. As a consequence of that austerity alone and by the grace of Brahma the lord of creation - ॥ 6-93-29॥

- there was never a fear for me either from the Asuras or Devas. I was given a shield by Brahma, effulgent like the Sun . - ॥ 6-93-30॥
