ऋषयः पितरो देवा गन्धर्वा गरुणोरगाः । शतक्रतुं पुरस्कृत्य ररक्षुर्लक्ष्मणं रणे ॥ ६-९१-६५

Placing Indra the lord of celestials as their head, the sages, manes, gods, Gandharvas the celestial musicians, eagles and serpents protected Lakshmana in the battle-field. ॥ 6-91-65॥
