युध्यमानौतुतौदृष्टवाप्रसक्तौनरराक्षसौ । प्रभिन्नाविवमातङ्गौपरस्परवधैषिणौ ॥ ६-९०-१
Lakshmana (man) and Indrajith (Rakshasa) were fond of battle and intending to win in the fight overcoming each other. Each of them were like elephants but were broken into pieces. ॥ 6-90-1॥

Ravana’s valiant brother, Vibheeshana, with eagerness to witness the battle stood in the forefront of the battlefield watching the fight. ॥ 6-90-2॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptततो विस्फारयामास महद्धनुरवस्थितः । उत्ससर्ज च तीक्षणाग्रान् राक्षसेषु महाशरान् ॥ ६-९०-३
Then he (Vibheeshana) stood with stretched great bow and loosened sharp pointed arrows on Rakshasas. ॥ 6-90-3॥

tato visphArayAmAsa mahaddhanuravasthitaH । utsasarja ca tIkSaNAgrAn rAkSaseSu mahAzarAn ॥ 6-90-3
hk transliteration by Sanscriptते शराः शिखिसंस्पर्शा निपतन्तस्समाहिताः । राक्षसान् दारयामासुर्वज्रा इव महागिरीन् ॥ ६-९०-४
Those burning arrows falling on Rakshasas touched them and split them like thunderbolt splitting mountains. ॥ 6-90-4॥

te zarAH zikhisaMsparzA nipatantassamAhitAH । rAkSasAn dArayAmAsurvajrA iva mahAgirIn ॥ 6-90-4
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविभीषणस्यानुचरास्तेपि शूलासिपट्टिशैः । चिछिदुः समरे वीरान् राक्षसान् राक्षसोत्तमाः ॥ ६-९०-५
Followers of Vibheeshana, the foremost of Rakshasa too, rent asunder those valiant Rakshasas in battle, with pikes, sowrds and sharp-edged spears. ॥ 6-90-5॥
