विभीषणवचः श्रुत्वा रावणिः क्रोधमूर्चितः । अब्रवीत् परुषं वाक्यं वेगेनाभ्युत्पपात च ॥ ६-८८-१
Hearing Vibheeshana's words, Indrajith was deluded with fury, spoke harshly and advanced. [6-88-1]
english translation
उद्यतायुधनिस्त्रिंशो रथे सुसमलंकृते । कालाश्वयुक्ते महति स्थितः कालान्तकोपमः ॥ ६-८८-२
Indrajit was looking like Yama the lord of Death at the time of dissolution of the world, sitting in a well-decorated and distinguished chariot yoked with black horses, having upraised sword and weapons - [6-88-2]
english translation
महाप्रमाणमुद्यम्य विपुलं वेगवद्दृढम् । धनुर्भीमं परामृश्य शरांश्चामित्रशातनान् ॥ ६-८८-३
- raising a big terrific enormous strong and swift bow and laying hold of arrows which can torment the enemies. [6-88-3]
english translation
तं ददर्श महेष्वासो रथस्थः समलंकृतः । अलंकृतममित्रघ्नो राघवस्यानुजं बली ॥ ६-८८-४
The mighty the destroyer of adversaries, wielding a large bow, fully adorned, and seated in a chariot saw that Raghava's brother who was embellished with his own splendour. [6-88-4]
english translation
हनुमत्पृष्ठमारूढमुदयस्थरविप्रभम् । उवाचैनं सुसंरब्धः सौमित्रिं सविभीषणम् ॥ ६-८८-५
Indrajit hurriedly addressed Saumitri, who was seated on Hanuman’s back and resembled the rising sun, and Vibhishana also . - [6-88-5]
