निकुम्भिलायां संप्राप्तं हन्तुं रावणिमाहवे । धनुर्मण्डलनिर्मुक्तैराशीविषविषोपमैः ॥ ६-८५-११
"On reaching Nikumbhila, let Lakshmana who is capable of killing Indrajith discharge venomous serpents like deadly poisonous arrows from his bow in circular form and kill Rakshasas." ॥ 6-85-11॥

nikumbhilAyAM saMprAptaM hantuM rAvaNimAhave । dhanurmaNDalanirmuktairAzIviSaviSopamaiH ॥ 6-85-11
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतेन वीरेण तपसा वरदानात्स्वयंभुवः । अस्त्रं ब्रह्मशिरः प्राप्तं कामगाश्च तुरंगमाः ॥ ६-८५-१२
"Lakshmana, being heroic received Brahmasira weapon from the creator by austerity and also horses which can course according to his will." ॥ 6-85-12॥

tena vIreNa tapasA varadAnAtsvayaMbhuvaH । astraM brahmaziraH prAptaM kAmagAzca turaMgamAH ॥ 6-85-12
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस एष सह सैन्येन प्राप्तः किल निकुम्भिलाम् । यद्युत्तिष्ठेत्कृतं कर्म हतान्सर्वांश्च विद्धि नः ॥ ६-८५-१३
"That Indrajit, as such along with his army, is reported to have reached Nikumbhila. If he comes forth after completing his sacrificial act, know that all of us as killed." ॥ 6-85-13॥

sa eSa saha sainyena prAptaH kila nikumbhilAm । yadyuttiSThetkRtaM karma hatAnsarvAMzca viddhi naH ॥ 6-85-13
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनिकुम्भिलामसंप्राप्तमहुताग्निं च यो रिपुः । त्वामातायिनं हन्यादिन्द्रशत्रो स ते वधः ॥ ६-८५-१४
" 'O Enemy of Indra! that enemy of yours, while you have not reached Nikumbhila and not propitiated fire sacrifice, can cause your death.' " ॥ 6-85-14॥

nikumbhilAmasaMprAptamahutAgniM ca yo ripuH । tvAmAtAyinaM hanyAdindrazatro sa te vadhaH ॥ 6-85-14
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवरो दत्तो महाबाहो सर्वलोकेश्वरेण वै । इत्येवं विहितो राजन्वधस्तस्यैष धीमतः ॥ ६-८५-१५
"O mighty armed Rama! Such a boon was granted to him, the enemy of Indra by the Lord of all worlds. Thus was the end of that crafty Rakshasa ordained." ॥ 6-85-15॥
