Thus speaking with his mouth wide open, Atikaya bent down with his large shoulder, ascended the top of his chariot and roamed about hither and thither by his chariot. ॥ 6-71-76॥

एकंत्रीन्पञ्चसप्तेतिसायन्राक्षसर्षभः । आददेसन्दधेचापिविचकर्षोत्ससर्ज च ॥ ६-७१-७७

The bull among the Rakshasas taking, one, three, five and seven arrows, fixing them to the bow stretching and released. ॥ 6-71-77॥

The gold feathered arrows released from the rakshasas's bow, were like death arrows which shone like the sun, set the sky ablaze. ॥ 6-71-78॥

Raghava's brother (Lakshmana) remained unconfounded and then he shattered the volley of many sharp arrows released by the Rakshasa. ॥ 6-71-79॥
