क्षत्रियैर्बहुभिर्वीरैःशक्रतुल्यपराक्रमैः । आसीद्वसुमतीपूर्णामहद्भिरिवपादपैः ॥ ६-७-१६
"The earth was fully filled with Kshatriya heroes of great prowess, equal to Indra in war who stood like trees on earth. [6-7-16]
english translation
तेषांवीर्यगुणोत्साहैर्नसमोराघवोरणे । प्रसह्यतेत्वयाराजन्हताःसमरदुर्जयाः ॥ ६-७-१७
"Raghava is not equal to them in valour, excellence and energy. Those warriors who were difficult to overcome by battle were overpowered and killed by you. [6-7-17]
english translation
तिष्ठवाकिंमहाराजश्रमे णतववानरान् । अयमेकोमहाबाहुरिन्द्रजित्क्षपयिष्यति ॥ ६-७-१८
"Oh great king, you stay here calmly. Why exert yourself? This strong armed Indrajith alone can destroy those Vanaras. [6-7-18]

अनेनहिमहाराजमहेश्वरमनुत्तमम् । इष्ट्वायज्ञंवरोलब्धोलोकेपरमदुर्लभः ॥ ६-७-१९
"Oh Great King By performing supreme sacrifices, Indrajith obtained boons from Lord Maheswara, which are very difficult to get. [6-7-19]

शक्तितोमरमीनंचविनिकीर्णान्त्रशैवलम् । गजकछपसम्बाधमश्वमण्डूकसंकुलम् ॥ ६-७-२०
''Approaching that divine sea, whose fish are lanes and spheres, whose guts thrown asunder as duck-weeds, whose turtles are the elephants, whose frogs are the teeming horses - [6-7-20]
