स देवलोकस्यतमोनिहत्यसूर्योयथाराहुमुखाद्विमुक्तः | तथाव्यभासीद्धरिसैन्यमध्येनिहत्यरामोयुधिकुम्भकर्णम् || ६-६७-१७६

Having killed Kumbhakarna, in the combat, Rama shone brilliantly in the midst of Vanara army just as Sun liberated from Rahu's mouth, after dispersing the darkness of the abode of Devatas. [6-67-176]

Many Vanaras, with their faces resembling full blown lotuses joyfully laughed and worshipped Rama who was dangerous to be attacked and as a beloved young man, for getting rid of an enemy of terrific strength. [6-67-177]

By killing Kumbhakarna, who tormented the army of celestials and who was not defeated at any time in great battles, Rama was rejoiced in the same way as Indra the lord of celestials was rejoiced in killing Vritra, the great demon. [6-67-178]
