इदंतद्ब्रह्मणोघोरंवाक्यंमामभ्युपस्थितम् । मानुषेभ्योविजानीहिभयंत्वमितितत्तथा ॥ ६-६०-६
"The terrible words of Brahma the Lord of Creation saying, 'You know of the threat from men' appear true. That is so." [6-60-6]
english translation
देवदानवगन्धर्वैर्यक्षराक्षसपन्नगैः । अवध्यत्वंमयाप्राप्तंमानुषेभ्योनयाचितम् ॥ ६-६०-७
"I sought protection from Devas, Danavas, Gandharvas, Rakshasas and serpents but not asked for protection from humans." [6-60-7]
english translation
विदितंमानुषंमन्येरामंदशरथात्मजम् । इक्ष्वाकुकुलजातेनअनरण्येनयत्पुरा ॥ ६-६०-८

उत्पत्स्यतेहिमद्वंशेपुरुषोराक्षसाधनु । यस्त्वांसपुत्रंसामात्यंसबलंसाश्वसारथिम् ॥ ६-६०-९

निहनिष्यतिसङ्ग्रामेत्वांकुलाधम दुर्मते । शप्तोऽहंवेदवत्याचयदासाधर्षितापुरा ॥ ६-६०-१०
- will kill you in war, O evil minded lowest of Rakshasas. In the past, I violated Vedavathi and got cursed by her. [6-60-10]
