शिलाप्रहारभिहतोविद्युन्मालीनिशाचरः । निष्पिष्टहृदयोभूमौगतासुर्निपपातह ॥ ६-४३-४१
Vidyunmali, the Rakshasa hit by the huge rock, was ceased of life and fell on the earth. ॥ 6-43-41॥

In that manner the Rakshasa warriors and the Vanara warriors fought the duel wonderfully and like the way Devatas killed the Demons, the Rakshasas were killed. ॥ 6-43-42॥

- the battlefield was dreadful, frequented by jackals. It was like the war between Devatas and demons, with the trunks of the bodies of Vanaras and Rakshasas rubbing together lying scattered in all directions. ॥ 6-43-45॥
