ननादचतदातत्रवसुधाशल्यपीडिता । तस्माद्ब्राणमुखात्तोयमुत्पपातरसातलात् ॥ ६-२२-३६
At that part of the earth that was creviced by the piercing of the dart, water came out from the underworld. [6-22-36]
english translation
सबभूवतदाकूपोव्रणइत्येभिविश्रुतः । सततंचोत्थितंतोयंसमुद्रस्येनदृश्यते ॥ ६-२२-३७
That well (hole created by the dart) came to be known as Vrana. The water springing out of it forever is like sea water. [6-22-37]

अवधारणशब्दश्चदारुणस्समपद्यत । तस्मात्तद्बाणनिपातेनत्वपःकुक्षिष्वशोषयत् ॥ ६-२२-३८
A crack caused in the ground by letting off the dart produced terrific sound and by that, the water in the cavities of the ground dried up. [6-22-38]

विख्यातंत्रिषुलोकेषुमधुकान्तारमेवतत् ॥ ६-२२-३९
Marukantaram is famous in the three worlds. [6-22-39]

मोक्षयित्वाततःकुक्षिंरामोदशरथात्मजः । वरंतस्मैददौविद्वान्मरवेऽमरविक्रमः ॥ ६-२२-४०
Dasaratha's Rama, who is learned and has the valour of gods made the cavities dry and gave a boon. [6-22-40]
