धन्यंयशस्यमायुष्यंराज्ञां च विजयावहम् । आदिकाव्यमिदंचार्षंपुरावाल्मीकिनाकृतम् ॥ ६-१३१-१०६

This foremost lyric derived from the speech of a sage, which is endowed with righteousness, conferring fame and longevity, fetching victory to kings and as written at first by Valmiki - [6-131-106]

english translation

पठेध्यःशृणुयाल्लोकेनरःपापात्प्रमुच्यते । पुत्रकामश्चपुत्रान्वैधनकामोधनानि च ॥ ६-१३१-१०७

- in this world, whoever person reads and listens to this, will be rid of sins. One who is seeking sons will get sons, one who is desirous of wealth will attain wealth - [6-131-107]

english translation

लभतेमनुजोलोकेश्रुत्वारामाभिषेचनम् । महींविजयतेराजारिपूंश्चाप्यधितिष्ठति ॥ ६-१३१-१०८

- kings will overcome enemies and conquer earth, On hearing about Rama's consecration, in this world. [6-131-108]

english translation

राघवेणयथामातासुमित्रालक्ष्मणेन च । भरतेन च कैकेयीजीवपुत्रास्तथास्त्रियः ॥ ६-१३१-१०९

Even as Kausalya, the mother has Rama as her living son, or as Sumitra has Lakshmana or as Kaikeyi has Bharata, the women likewise can become mothers of living sons - [6-131-109]

भविष्यन्तिसदानन्दाःपुत्रपौत्रसमन्विताः । श्रुत्वारामायणमिदंदीर्घमायुश्चविन्दति ॥ ६-१३१-११०

- endowed with children as well as grand children and thus become happy forever. A person will be blessed with long life, who listens to Ramayana and . - [6-131-110]
