ब्राह्म्यासम्वर्तयामासूराङ्कवास्तरणावृताम् । वर्ततेवेदविहितोराज्ञोवैपश्चिमःक्रतुः ॥ ६-११४-११६
- and Brahmya grass were placed on the body. It was covered with the skin of antelope. The last rites of the king were carried out with vedic rites. ॥ 6-114-116॥

Then proceeding in sequence constructing an altar in the southeast and placing sacrificial fire in a proper place, they duly performed sacrificial ceremony for ancestors in honour of the ruler of Rakshasas. ॥ 6-114-117॥

Then they poured a ladle full of ghee mixed with curd on his shoulders and placed a cart on his feet and a wooden mortar on his thighs. ॥ 6-114-118॥

The learned having placed everything including wooden vessels, wooden ladle to kindle fire, wooden pestle, spoon, and all other requirements at the right place. ॥ 6-114-119॥
