नैवंविनष्टाःशोच्यन्तेक्षत्रधर्मव्यवस्थिताः । वृधदिमाशंसमानायेनिपतन्तिरणाजिरे ॥ ६-११२-१६
"Those kings who follow duty steadfast, desiring advancement, fearless in the battlefield, who die in that way should not be mourned." [6-112-16]
english translation
येनसेन्द्रास्त्रयोलोकास्त्रासितायुधिधीमता । तस्मिन्कालसमायुक्ते न कालःपरिशोचितुम् ॥ ६-११२-१७
"He who is wise, and the three worlds fear him, including Indra, the Lord of gods, when brought under the sway of death according to timespirit, should not be mourned." [6-112-17]
english translation
नैकान्तविजयोयुद्धेभूतपूर्वःकदाचन । परैराहन्यतेवीरःपरान्वाहन्तिसंयुगे ॥ ६-११२-१८

इयंहिपूर्वैस्सन्दिष्टागतिःक्षत्रियसम्मता । क्षत्रियोनिहतंसङ्ख्ये न शोच्यइतिनिश्चयः ॥ ६-११२-१९
"This course has been practised in the past by ancient kings for those killed in war. Warrior killed in war is not to be mourned', is true." [6-112-19]

तदेवंनिश्चयंदृष्टवातत्त्वमास्थायविज्वरः । यदिहानन्तरंकार्यंकल्प्यंतदनुचिन्तय ॥ ६-११२-२०
"Therefore, seeing this ascertainment, understanding the true principle, and free from grief, think here of what duty that deserves to be performed." [6-112-20]
