भ्रातरंनिहतंदृष्टवाशयानंनिर्जितंरणे । शोकवेगपरीतात्माविललापविभीषणः ॥ ६-११२-१
Vibheeshana, seeing his brother killed and lying in the battlefield after defeat, lamented immersed in sorrow. [6-112-1]
english translation
वीर विक्रान्त विख्यात प्रवीण नयकोविद । महार्हाशयनोपेतकिंशेषेनिहतोभुवि ॥ ६-११२-२
"O valiant, powerful and renowned king! You who were skilled in all fields and in polity, accustomed to a sumptuous bed, why are you lying on ground?" [6-112-2]
english translation
विक्षिप्यदीर्घौनिश्चेष्टौभुजावङ्गभूषितौ । मुकुटेनापवृत्तेनभास्कराकारवर्चसा ॥ ६-११२-३
"Decked with armlets, motionless are your arms, broken, knocked down with the crown, radiant like the Sun." [6-112-3]
english translation
तदिदंवीरसम्प्राप्तंयन्मयापूर्वमीरितम् । काममोहपरीतस्ययत्तन्नरुचितंतव ॥ ६-११२-४
"Hero! That which was told by me earlier and that which was not liked by you, as you were overcome with sensuality and infatuation; that very fate has been obtained by you." [6-112-4]

यन्नदर्पात्प्रहस्तोवानेन्द्रजिन्नापरेजनाः । न कुम्बकर्णोऽतिरथोनातिकायोनरान्तकः ॥ ६-११२-५
"Either Prahastha or Indrajith or other Rakshasas, or even Kumbhakarna, nor an exceeding car warrior Atikaya or Naranthaka . - [6-112-5]
