ततोयुद्धपरिश्रान्तंसमरेचिन्तयास्थितम् । रावणंचाग्रतोदृष्टवायुद्धायसमुपस्थितम् ॥ ६-१०७-१
Approaching Rama standing absorbed in fight in the battle-field, exhausted as he was by the fight, and seeing Ravana who came nearby - ॥ 6-107-1॥

- facing him duly prepared for the battle, the glorious sage, Agastya, who had come together with the gods, to perceive the battle, then spoke as follows. ॥ 6-107-2॥

"O mighty armed Sri Rama! Dear, hear this eternal secret (mantra) which will enable you to win all the enemies in war." ॥ 6-107-3॥

It is none other than the ‘Hymn to the Sun’ (Aditya-hridaya), O Dear Child, it is sacred, capable of subduing the foe and brings victory, this prayer is eternal, imperishable, exalted and auspicious - ॥ 6-107-4॥
