ततश्शरसहस्राणिक्षिप्रहस्तोनिशाचरः । निजघानोरसिक्रुद्धोराघवस्यमहात्मनः ॥ ६-१०५-६
Thereafter the quickhanded angry night ranger struck into the chest of great soul Raghava thousands of arrows. ॥ 6-105-6॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptस शोणितसमादिग्धस्समरेलक्ष्मणाग्रजः । दृष्टःफुल्लइवारण्येसुमहान् किंशुकद्रुमः ॥ ६-१०५-७
In that conflict Lakshmana's elder brother looked like a huge Kimsuka tree in bloom in the forest body being covered with blood all over. ॥ 6-105-7॥

sa zoNitasamAdigdhassamarelakSmaNAgrajaH । dRSTaHphullaivAraNyesumahAn kiMzukadrumaH ॥ 6-105-7
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशराभिघातसम्रब्दःसोऽभिजग्राहसायकान् । काकुत्स्थ: सुमहातेजायुगान्तादित्यतेजसः ॥ ६-१०५-८
Enraged at the impact of the arrows, that Rama of very great splendour , took hold of arrows which shone like the sun at the time of dissolution of the world. ॥ 6-105-8॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptततोऽन्योन्यंसुसम्रब्धौतावुभौरामरावणौ । शरान्धकारेसमरेनोपलक्ष्यतांतदा ॥ ६-१०५-९
Then with both Rama and Ravana speedily releasing (hail of) arrows on one another, the battlefield was darkened by arrows, and they were not able to see each other. ॥ 6-105-9॥

Then Rama, the heroic son of Dasharatha, overcome by anger, laughing at Ravana, spoke these words. ॥ 6-105-10॥
