[अ] वित्तार्थिनम अनुप्राप्तं विद्धि मां पृथिवीपते यथाशक्त्य अविहिंस्यान्यान संविभागं परयच्छ मे ॥ ३-९६-४ ॥

sanskrit

'Agastya replied, 'O lord of the earth, know that I have come to you seeking wealth. Grant me a portion of your riches according to your ability, without causing harm to others.'' ॥ 3-96-4 ॥

english translation

[a] vittArthinama anuprAptaM viddhi mAM pRthivIpate yathAzaktya avihiMsyAnyAna saMvibhAgaM parayaccha me ॥ 3-96-4 ॥
