परयागे देवयजने देवानां पृथिवीपते ऊषुर आप्लुत्य गात्राणि तपश चातस्थुर उत्तमम ।। ३-९३-५ ।।

sanskrit

'Next, O lord of the earth, they journeyed to the sacred sacrificial site known as Prayaga, where the Ganga and Yamuna converge. There, they bathed in the holy waters and, taking up residence, engaged in great ascetic penances that yielded immense merit.' ।। 3-93-5 ।।

english translation

parayAge devayajane devAnAM pRthivIpate USura Aplutya gAtrANi tapaza cAtasthura uttamama || 3-93-5 ||
