[य] न वै निर्गुणम आत्मानं मन्ये देवर्षिसत्तम तथास्मि दुःखसंतप्तॊ यथा नान्यॊ महीपतिः ॥ ३-९२-१ ॥
'Yudhishthira said, "O foremost of the celestial Rishis, I do not believe I am devoid of merits. Yet, I am burdened with such sorrow that there has never been a king like me."' ॥ 3-92-1 ॥
english translation
परांश च निर्गुणान मन्ये न च धर्मरतान अपि ते च लॊमश लॊके ऽसमिन्न ऋध्यन्ते केन केतुना ॥ ३-९२-२ ॥
'I perceive my enemies as lacking in good qualities and moral integrity. Yet, O Lomasa, why do they thrive in this world?' ॥ 3-92-2 ॥
english translation
[ल] नात्र दुःखं तवया राजन कार्यं पार्थ कथं चन यद अधर्मेण वर्धेरन्न अधर्मरुचयॊ जनाः ॥ ३-९२-३ ॥
'Lomasa said, "Do not grieve, O king, son of Pritha, because sinful men often thrive as a result of their own misdeeds."' ॥ 3-92-3 ॥
english translation
वर्धत्य अधर्मेण नरस ततॊ भद्राणि पश्यति ततः सपत्नाञ जयति स मूलस तु विनश्यति ॥ ३-९२-४ ॥
'One may witness such individuals prospering through their sins, gaining benefits, and defeating their enemies. Yet, their downfall is inevitable, as destruction ultimately uproots them.' ॥ 3-92-4 ॥
english translation
मया हि दृष्टा दैतेया दानवाश च महीपते वर्धमाना हय अधर्मेण कषयं चॊपगताः पुनः ॥ ३-९२-५ ॥
'O king, I have witnessed many Daityas and Danavas thrive through sin, only to be overtaken by destruction.' ॥ 3-92-5 ॥
