भवान मनुष्यलॊकाय गमिष्यति न संशयः बरूयाद युधिष्ठिरं तत्र वचनान मे दविजॊत्तम ॥ ३-८९-१६ ॥
'You will undoubtedly return to the realm of mortals. O best of Brahmanas, deliver these words of mine to Yudhishthira.' ॥ 3-89-16 ॥
english translation
आगमिष्यति ते भराता कृतास्त्रः कषिप्रम अर्जुनः सुरकार्यं महत कृत्वा यद आशक्यं दिवौकसैः ॥ ३-८९-१७ ॥
'Soon, your brother Arjuna will arrive, having acquired his weapons and accomplished a great task for the celestials—one that they themselves could not achieve.' ॥ 3-89-17 ॥
english translation
तपसा तु तवम आत्मानं भरातृभिः सह यॊजय तपसॊ हि परं नास्ति तपसा विन्दते महत ॥ ३-८९-१८ ॥
'In the meantime, dedicate yourself to ascetic austerities along with your brothers. There is nothing superior to asceticism, and it is by asceticism that a person achieveth great results.' ॥ 3-89-18 ॥
english translation
अहं च कर्णं जानामि यथावद भरतर्षभ न स पार्थस्य संग्रामे कलाम अर्हति षॊडशीम ॥ ३-८९-१९ ॥
'And, O foremost among the Bharatas, I am well aware that Karna is endowed with immense zeal, energy, strength, and unparalleled prowess that cannot be thwarted.' ॥ 3-89-19 ॥
english translation
यच चापि ते भयं तस्मान मनसि सथम अरिंदम तच चाप्य अपहरिष्यामि सव्यसाचाव इहागते ॥ ३-८९-२० ॥
'And whatever fear you have in your mind from that, O conqueror of enemies, I will also remove it when Savyasachin (Arjuna) arrives here.' ॥ 3-89-20 ॥
