यत्र देव वनं रम्यं तापसैर उपशॊभितम बाहुदा च नदी यत्र नन्दा च गिरिमूर्धनि ।। ३-८५-२१ ।।

sanskrit

'In that direction lies the enchanting Deva-vana, adorned by the presence of ascetics. There, too, flow the rivers Vahuda and Nanda, cascading from the mountain's summit.' ।। 3-85-21 ।।

english translation

yatra deva vanaM ramyaM tApasaira upazòbhitama bAhudA ca nadI yatra nandA ca girimUrdhani || 3-85-21 ||

तीर्थानि सरितः शैलाः पुण्यान्य आयतनानि च पराच्यां दिशि महाराज कीर्तितानि मया तव ।। ३-८५-२२ ।।

'O mighty king, I have now described to you the tirthas and sacred sites of the Eastern quarter.' ।। 3-85-22 ।।

english translation

tIrthAni saritaH zailAH puNyAnya AyatanAni ca parAcyAM dizi mahArAja kIrtitAni mayA tava || 3-85-22 ||

तिसृष्व अन्यासु पुण्यानि दिक्षु तीर्थानि मे शृणु सरितः पर्वतांश चैव पुण्यान्य आयतनानि च ।। ३-८५-२३ ।।

'Listen attentively as I recount the sacred tirthas, rivers, mountains, and holy places in the remaining three directions!' ।। 3-85-23 ।।

english translation

tisRSva anyAsu puNyAni dikSu tIrthAni me zRNu saritaH parvatAMza caiva puNyAnya AyatanAni ca || 3-85-23 ||
