शयामाक भॊजनं तत्र यः परयच्छति मानवः देवान पितॄंश च उद्दिश्य तस्य धर्मफलं महत एकस्मिन भॊजिते विप्रे कॊटिर भवति भॊजिता ॥ ३-८१-५६ ॥
'A man who offers Śyāmāka grain there in honor of the gods and the Pitris attains great religious merit. Feeding one Brahmana in that place is equivalent to feeding ten million Brahmanas.' ॥ 3-81-56 ॥
