उवाच च महात्मानं धर्मराजं युधिष्ठिरम बरूहि धर्मभृतां शरेष्ठ केनार्थः किं ददामि ते ॥ ३-८०-६ ॥
'And, O sinless one, the illustrious Rishi addressed the high-souled king Yudhishthira, the just, saying, "O foremost among the virtuous, reveal to me what you desire and how I may be of service to you."' ॥ 3-80-6 ॥
english translation
अथ धर्मसुतॊ राजा परणम्य भरातृभिः सह उवाच पराञ्जलिर वाक्यं नारदं देव संमितम ॥ ३-८०-७ ॥
'In response, the royal son of Dharma, accompanied by his brothers, bowed with joined palms to Narada, the revered sage of the celestials, and spoke to him with great respect.' ॥ 3-80-7 ॥
english translation
तवयि तुष्टे महाभाग सर्वलॊकाभिपूजिते कृतम इत्य एव मन्ये ऽहं परसादात तव सुव्रत ॥ ३-८०-८ ॥
'O highly blessed sage, revered by all realms, when you are pleased with me, I consider all my desires fulfilled through your grace, O keeper of excellent vows!' ॥ 3-80-8 ॥
english translation
यदि तव अहम अनुग्राह्यॊ भरातृभिः सहितॊ ऽनघ संदेहं मे मुनिश्रेष्ठ हृदिस्थं छेत्तुम अर्हसि ॥ ३-८०-९ ॥
'If, O sinless one, I and my brothers are worthy of your favor, it is fitting for you, O best of the sages, to clear the doubts in my mind.' ॥ 3-80-9 ॥

परदक्षिणं यः कुरुते पृथिवीं तीर्थतत्परः किं फलं तस्य कार्त्स्न्येन तद बरह्मन वक्तुम अर्हसि ॥ ३-८०-१० ॥
'O Brahmana, what is the complete reward for one who, devoted to pilgrimage, circumambulates the earth? Please enlighten me about this.' ॥ 3-80-10 ॥
