अशॊभयच च नगरं पताकाध्वजमालिनम सिक्तसंमृष्टपुष्पाढ्या राजमार्गाः कृतास तदा ॥ ३-७६-६ ॥
'The citizens adorned the city with flags, standards, and garlands of flowers. The streets were watered and beautifully decorated with floral wreaths and various ornaments.' ॥ 3-76-6 ॥

दवारि दवारि च पौराणां पुष्पभङ्गः परकल्पितः अर्चितानि च सर्वाणि देवतायतनानि च ॥ ३-७६-७ ॥
'At their gates, the citizens heaped flowers, and all their temples and shrines were beautifully adorned with blossoms.' ॥ 3-76-7 ॥

ऋतुपर्णॊ ऽपि शुश्राव बाहुकछद्मिनं नलम दमयन्त्या समायुक्तं जहृषे च नराधिपः ॥ ३-७६-८ ॥
'Rituparna learned that Vahuka had been united with Damayanti, and he felt great joy upon hearing this.' ॥ 3-76-8 ॥

तम आनाय्य नलॊ राजा कषमयाम आस पार्थिवम स च तं कषमयाम आस हेतुभिर बुद्धिसंमतः ॥ ३-७६-९ ॥
'Calling upon King Nala, he sought his forgiveness. And the wise Nala also sought Rituparna's forgiveness, presenting various reasons for his actions.' ॥ 3-76-9 ॥

स सत्कृतॊ महीपालॊ नैषधं विस्मयान्वितः दिष्ट्या समेतॊ दारैः सवैर भवान इत्य अभ्यनन्दत ॥ ३-७६-१० ॥
'And Rituparna, the foremost speaker skilled in truth, after being honored by Nala, expressed his astonishment with these words to the ruler of the Nishadhas: 'It is indeed by good fortune that you have regained your wife and found happiness once more.'' ॥ 3-76-10 ॥
