यमस तव अन्नरसं परादाद धर्मे च परमां सथितिम अपां पतिर अपां भावं यत्र वाञ्छति नैषधः ।। ३-५४-३१ ।।

sanskrit

'Yama bestowed upon him the exquisite savor of food and the foremost position in righteousness. The lord of waters granted Nala his own divine presence whenever he wished, along with garlands imbued with celestial fragrance.' ।। 3-54-31 ।।

english translation

yamasa tava annarasaM parAdAda dharme ca paramAM sathitima apAM patira apAM bhAvaM yatra vAJchati naiSadhaH || 3-54-31 ||

'All [the gods] gave a garland rich with the finest fragrance, and each gave a pair [of children]. Having granted these boons to him, those gods returned to the heavens.' ।। 3-54-32 ।।

'And after the departure of those mighty monarchs, the noble Bhima, filled with joy, celebrated the wedding of Nala and Damayanti. After staying there for a while, as per his wishes, Naishadha, the greatest of men, returned to his own city with Bhima's blessing.' ।। 3-54-33 ।।

'And having attained that precious gem of a woman, the virtuous king, O monarch, began to spend his days in bliss, like the slayer of Vala and Vritra, reveling in the company of Shachi.' ।। 3-54-34 ।।
