विलज्जमाना वस्त्रान्ते जग्राहायतलॊचना सकन्धदेशे ऽसृजच चास्य सरजं परमशॊभनाम वरयाम आस चैवैनं पतित्वे वरवर्णिनी ॥ ३-५४-२६ ॥
'And the large-eyed maiden, blushing deeply, seized the edge of his garment and adorned his neck with a floral garland of exquisite beauty. When that fair-complexioned damsel had thus chosen Nala as her husband.' ॥ 3-54-26 ॥
english translation
vilajjamAnA vastrAnte jagrAhAyatalòcanA sakandhadeze 'sRjaca cAsya sarajaM paramazòbhanAma varayAma Asa caivainaM patitve varavarNinI ॥ 3-54-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततॊ हा हेति सहसा शब्दॊ मुक्तॊ नराधिपैः देवैर महर्षिभिश चैव साधु साध्व इति भारत विस्मितैर ईरितः शब्दः परशंसद्भिर नलं नृपम ॥ ३-५४-२७ ॥
'The kings erupted into exclamations of "Oh!" and "Alas!" Meanwhile, O Bharata, the gods and the great sages, filled with wonder, cried "Excellent! Excellent!" as they applauded the king.' ॥ 3-54-27 ॥
english translation
tatò hA heti sahasA zabdò muktò narAdhipaiH devaira maharSibhiza caiva sAdhu sAdhva iti bhArata vismitaira IritaH zabdaH parazaMsadbhira nalaM nRpama ॥ 3-54-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवृते तु नैषधे भैम्या लॊकपाला महौजसा परहृष्टमनसः सर्वे नलायाष्टौ वरान ददुः ॥ ३-५४-२८ ॥
'When Bhima's daughter (Damayanti) chose Naishadha (Nala), the mighty Lokapalas, all with delighted minds, granted eight boons to Nala.' ॥ 3-54-28 ॥

vRte tu naiSadhe bhaimyA lòkapAlA mahaujasA parahRSTamanasaH sarve nalAyASTau varAna daduH ॥ 3-54-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरत्यक्षदर्शनं यज्ञे गतिं चानुत्तमां शुभाम नैषधाय ददौ शक्रः परीयमाणः शचीपतिः ॥ ३-५४-२९ ॥
'And Sakra, the lord of Sachi, granted Nala the boon of being able to witness the divine presence in sacrifices, along with the promise of attaining blessed realms thereafter.' ॥ 3-54-29 ॥

paratyakSadarzanaM yajJe gatiM cAnuttamAM zubhAma naiSadhAya dadau zakraH parIyamANaH zacIpatiH ॥ 3-54-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअग्निर आत्मभवं परादाद यत्र वाञ्छति नैषधः लॊकान आत्मप्रभांश चैव ददौ तस्मै हुताशनः ॥ ३-५४-३० ॥
'Additionally, Hutasana bestowed upon him the favor of his own presence whenever Naishadha desired, along with regions radiant as himself.' ॥ 3-54-30 ॥

agnira AtmabhavaM parAdAda yatra vAJchati naiSadhaH lòkAna AtmaprabhAMza caiva dadau tasmai hutAzanaH ॥ 3-54-30 ॥
