परविशन्तं च मां तत्र न कश चिद दृष्टवान नरः ऋते तां पार्थिवसुतां भवताम एव तेजसा ॥ ३-५३-१६ ॥
'As I entered, no one perceived me, save for the princess, owing to your divine power.' ॥ 3-53-16 ॥
english translation
सख्यश चास्या मया दृष्टास ताभिश चाप्य उपलक्षितः विस्मिताश चाभवन दृष्ट्वा सर्वा मां विबुधेश्वराः ॥ ३-५३-१७ ॥
'And I beheld her hand-maids, who, upon seeing me, were likewise filled with astonishment. O exalted celestials, their wonder mirrored the amazement that enveloped the entire assembly.' ॥ 3-53-17 ॥
english translation
वर्ण्यमानेषु च मया भवत्सु रुचिरानना माम एव गतसंकल्पा वृणीते सुरसत्तमाः ॥ ३-५३-१८ ॥
'As I spoke to her about you, the fair-faced maiden, her heart was set upon me, O ye best of the gods, and she chose me as her spouse.' ॥ 3-53-18 ॥

अब्रवीच चैव मां बाला आयान्तु सहिताः सुराः तवया सह नरश्रेष्ठ मम यत्र सवयंवरः ॥ ३-५३-१९ ॥
'The maiden then declared, 'Let the gods, O tiger among men, accompany you to the Swayamvara, where I shall choose you in their presence.' ॥ 3-53-19 ॥

तेषाम अहं संनिधौ तवां वरयिष्ये नरॊत्तम एवं तव महाबाहॊ दॊषॊ न भवितेति ह ॥ ३-५३-२० ॥
'By doing so, no blame shall fall upon you.' ॥ 3-53-20 ॥
