एवंगते विदुर यद अद्य कार्यं; पौराश चेमे कथम अस्मान भजेरन ते चाप्य अस्मान नॊद्धरेयुः समूलान; न कामये तांश च विनश्यमाना ॥ ३-५-३ ॥

'Now that things have come to this, what should we do? How can I ensure the goodwill of the citizens so that they do not uproot us entirely? Please advise us, for you are well-versed in all wise strategies.' ॥ 3-5-3 ॥

evaMgate vidura yada adya kAryaM; paurAza ceme kathama asmAna bhajerana te cApya asmAna nòddhareyuH samUlAna; na kAmaye tAMza ca vinazyamAnA ॥ 3-5-3 ॥
