पार्थ कषत्रिय मुख्यस तवं कषत्रधर्मे वयवस्थितः पश्य मां पृथु ताम्राक्ष वरुणॊ ऽसमि जलेश्वरः ॥ ३-४२-२६ ॥
'O son of Pritha, thou art the foremost among Kshatriyas, steadfast in your Kshatriya duties. O thou with large coppery eyes, behold me!' ॥ 3-42-26 ॥
english translation
pArtha kaSatriya mukhyasa tavaM kaSatradharme vayavasthitaH pazya mAM pRthu tAmrAkSa varuNò 'sami jalezvaraH ॥ 3-42-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमया समुद्यतान पाशान वारुणान अनिवारणान परतिगृह्णीष्व कौन्तेय सरहस्य निवर्तनान ॥ ३-४२-२७ ॥
'Accept from me, O son of Kunti, these unyielding Varuna nooses that rise from the depths, along with the secrets of their hurling and withdrawal.' ॥ 3-42-27 ॥
english translation
mayA samudyatAna pAzAna vAruNAna anivAraNAna paratigRhNISva kaunteya sarahasya nivartanAna ॥ 3-42-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएभिस तदा मया वीर संग्रामे तारकामये दैतेयानां सहस्राणि संयतानि महात्मनाम ॥ ३-४२-२८ ॥
'With these, O hero, in the battle that followed concerning Taraka, the wife of Vrihaspati, I seized and bound thousands of powerful Daityas.' ॥ 3-42-28 ॥
english translation
ebhisa tadA mayA vIra saMgrAme tArakAmaye daiteyAnAM sahasrANi saMyatAni mahAtmanAma ॥ 3-42-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्माद इमान महासत्त्वमत्प्रसादात समुत्थितान गृहाण न हि ते मुच्येद अन्तकॊ ऽपय आततायिनः ॥ ३-४२-२९ ॥
'Accept these from me, for even if Yama himself stands against you, he will be unable to escape your grasp with these in your hands.' ॥ 3-42-29 ॥
english translation
tasmAda imAna mahAsattvamatprasAdAta samutthitAna gRhANa na hi te mucyeda antakò 'paya AtatAyinaH ॥ 3-42-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअनेन तवं यदास्त्रेण संग्रामे विचरिष्यसि तदा निःक्षत्रिया भूमिर भविष्यति न संशयः ॥ ३-४२-३० ॥
'When you are armed with these nooses and roam the battlefield, there is no doubt that the land will be rid of Kshatriyas.' ॥ 3-42-30 ॥

anena tavaM yadAstreNa saMgrAme vicariSyasi tadA niHkSatriyA bhUmira bhaviSyati na saMzayaH ॥ 3-42-30 ॥
