तरीँल लॊकान गुह्यकांश चैव गन्धर्वांश च सपन्नगान दवितीय इव मार्तण्डॊ युगान्ते समुपस्थिते ॥ ३-४२-११ ॥
'He appeared like a second sun at the end of the Yuga, illuminating the three worlds, along with the Guhyakas, Gandharvas, and the Nagas who were all present there.' ॥ 3-42-11 ॥

tarI~la lòkAna guhyakAMza caiva gandharvAMza ca sapannagAna davitIya iva mArtaNDò yugAnte samupasthite ॥ 3-42-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभानुमन्ति विचित्राणि शिखराणि महागिरेः समास्थायार्जुनं तत्र ददृशुस तपसान्वितः ॥ ३-४२-१२ ॥
'Upon arriving there, they saw Arjuna engaged in ascetic austerities, amidst the radiant and diverse peaks of the great mountain.' ॥ 3-42-12 ॥
english translation
bhAnumanti vicitrANi zikharANi mahAgireH samAsthAyArjunaM tatra dadRzusa tapasAnvitaH ॥ 3-42-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततॊ मुहूर्ताद भगवान ऐरावत शिरॊ गतः आजगाम सहेन्द्राण्या शक्रः सुरगणैर वृतः ॥ ३-४२-१३ ॥
'And in an instant, the illustrious Sakra arrived, mounted on the mighty Airavata and accompanied by his queen, surrounded by the assembly of deities.' ॥ 3-42-13 ॥

tatò muhUrtAda bhagavAna airAvata zirò gataH AjagAma sahendrANyA zakraH suragaNaira vRtaH ॥ 3-42-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपाण्डुरेणातपत्रेण धरियमाणेन मूर्धनि शुशुभे तारका राजः सितम अभ्रम इवास्थितः ॥ ३-४२-१४ ॥
'And with the white umbrella held over his head, he appeared like the moon surrounded by soft, fleecy clouds.' ॥ 3-42-14 ॥

pANDureNAtapatreNa dhariyamANena mUrdhani zuzubhe tArakA rAjaH sitama abhrama ivAsthitaH ॥ 3-42-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसंस्तूयमानॊ गन्धर्वैर ऋषिभिश च तपॊधनैः शृङ्गं गिरेः समासाद्य तस्थौ सूर्य इवॊदितः ॥ ३-४२-१५ ॥
'Eulogized by the Gandharvas and sages rich in ascetic merit, the chief of the celestials descended upon a specific peak of the mountain, resembling a second sun.' ॥ 3-42-15 ॥
