[व] ततॊ दिवाकरः परीतॊ दर्शयाम आस पाण्डवम दीप्यमानः सववपुषा जवलन्न इव हुताशनः ॥ ३-४-१ ॥
'Vaisampayana said, 'Thus, O great king, was the Sun, the purifier of the world, revered by Yudhishthira. Pleased with the hymn, the Sun, self-luminous and blazing like fire, manifested himself to the son of Pandu.'' ॥ 3-4-1 ॥
