यॊ न यातयते वैरम अल्पसत्त्वॊद्यमः पुमान अफलं तस्य जन्माहं मन्ये दुर्जात जायिनः ॥ ३-३६-८ ॥

sanskrit

'A man who, lacking strength and courage, does not chastise his enemies lives in vain and is considered low-born.' ॥ 3-36-8 ॥

english translation

yò na yAtayate vairama alpasattvòdyamaH pumAna aphalaM tasya janmAhaM manye durjAta jAyinaH ॥ 3-36-8 ॥
