अस्माभिर उषिताः सम्यग वने मासास तरयॊदश परिमाणेन तान पश्य तावतः परिवत्सरान ॥ ३-३६-३१ ॥
'We have already lived in the forest for thirteen months. Consider this period, O king, as equivalent to thirteen years in its duration.' ॥ 3-36-31 ॥
english translation
अस्ति मासः परतिनिधिर यथा पराहुर मनीषिणः पूतिकान इव सॊमस्य तथेदं करियताम इति ॥ ३-३६-३२ ॥
'The wise say that a month serves as a substitute for a year, just as the pot-herb is considered a substitute for the Soma.' ॥ 3-36-32 ॥
english translation
अथ वानडुहे राजन साधवे साधु वाहिने सौहित्य दानाद एकस्माद एनसः परतिमुच्यते ॥ ३-३६-३३ ॥
'Or, O king, if you break your pledge, you might absolve yourself from this sin by offering savory food to a peaceful bull that bears sacred burdens.' ॥ 3-36-33 ॥

तस्माच छत्रुवधे राजन करियतां निश्चयस तवया कषत्रियस्य तु सर्वस्य नान्यॊ धर्मॊ ऽसति संयुगात ॥ ३-३६-३४ ॥
'Therefore, O king, resolve to slay thy enemies. For a Kshatriya, there is no virtue greater than engaging in battle.' ॥ 3-36-34 ॥
