यस्य धर्मॊ हि धर्मार्थं कलेशभान न स पण्डितः न स धर्मस्य वेदार्थं सूर्यस्यान्धः परभाम इव ॥ ३-३४-२३ ॥
'One who practices virtue solely for virtue’s sake always endures suffering. Such a person can scarcely be called wise, for he does not understand the true purpose of virtue, much like a blind man who cannot perceive the sunlight.' ॥ 3-34-23 ॥
