कर्तृत्वाद एव पुरुषः कर्मसिद्धौ परशस्यते असिद्धौ निन्द्यते चापि कर्म नाशः कथं तव इह ।। ३-३३-२९ ।।

sanskrit

'A person is praised for successful work because he is the cause of it, and similarly, he is censured for failures. If a person were not the cause of his actions, how could such results be justified?' ।। 3-33-29 ।।

english translation

kartRtvAda eva puruSaH karmasiddhau parazasyate asiddhau nindyate cApi karma nAzaH kathaM tava iha || 3-33-29 ||
