इष्टापूर्तफलं न सयान न शिष्यॊ न गुरुर भवेत पुरुषः कर्म साध्येषु सयाच चेद अयम अकारणम ।। ३-३३-२८ ।।

sanskrit

'If individuals were not the cause of their own actions, sacrifices would yield no results, and there would be no such distinctions as disciples or masters.' ।। 3-33-28 ।।

english translation

iSTApUrtaphalaM na sayAna na ziSyò na gurura bhaveta puruSaH karma sAdhyeSu sayAca ceda ayama akAraNama || 3-33-28 ||
